My sister-in-law makes the coolest hand-bound books. And today TWO of you could win one!
Erin lives in Boston working as an amazing bookbinder. She just graduated from the North Bennet Street School. She’s married to my brother Jason, who is a science visualizer for the planetarium at the Museum of Science, Boston. (He’s a huge nerd/dork/trekkie so making graphics about space is perfect! Yes, he’d admit to being a huge dork. I think. Either way, he is.)
Erin just started her own blog, Flash of the Hand, which has daily glimpses into her life, info on awesome artists (Erin, how on earth do you find some of these amazing artists?!), and book binding things. I get her blog emailed to me every morning and love reading it. Jason is also the one who designed her website and our website… so thank him. Because currently you’re looking at and enjoying his design skills.
There’s two different journals we have to giveaway. The above one is AMAZING with this cute little ribbon you can tie, and these elementary school writing pages. I really want that one. But I will let one of you have it instead. Because I’m super generous. Ha.

Option 5 – Went to Flash of the Hand – I really liked the post about Artist Ariana Page Russell. I have never seen body-scape like that before. My skin isn’t that sensitive, but the idea that someone else can be so delicate is very interesting.
Option 5: Flash of the Hand is unlike anything I’ve come across on the web. I loved her post “My hand…little birds”. Her description of how she constructed the piece is like reading how one would paint a portrait or write a love song.
